Richie Grainger brings a rare combination of award winning sales expertise, firsthand experience as a home loan client, and genuine passion for helping people achieve one of the biggest financial milestones of their lives.
From Client to Adviser
Before joining Stanford Financial, Richie was a Stanford Financial client. He experienced the home loan process from the other side of the table, which gives him an unusually grounded understanding of what clients go through and what they actually need from their broker. That experience shapes how he works with every person who comes to him for guidance.
Professional Background
Richie spent a number of years in the automotive industry as a Business Manager and later as a Sales Manager, building deep expertise in asset finance and the financial structuring of large purchases. His time in that industry was not just commercially successful — it was nationally recognised. Richie won the highest individual accolade available to a Business Manager in Australia: the National Business Manager of Australia award. He was the first and only person from Queensland ever to receive it.
That level of expertise in asset finance and structured lending made the transition into home lending a natural progression. Helping people navigate the largest financial decision of their lives is exactly the challenge Richie wanted to take on next.
What Richie Does at Stanford Financial
As a Senior Lending Adviser, Richie works with clients across a broad range of lending scenarios including first home purchases, refinancing, investment lending, and asset finance. He is known for his ability to break down complex financial information in plain language and for going beyond the standard application to find solutions that work for each individual’s circumstances, including non conforming lending situations.
Why Richie Does It
Richie’s motivation is simple: he wants to help people get into their dream home. Having been through the process as a client himself, he understands the stakes and the emotions involved. That personal context drives his commitment to communication, transparency, and getting the right outcome rather than just the easiest one.
